For drivers with physical limitations, it can feel difficult to find a vehicle that caters to their needs without costing a fortune. With the Volkswagen Driver Access Program, customers that purchase a new Volkswagen can be reimbursed for the costs of accessibility vehicle modifications.
Customers that have physical limitations can opt to modify their next Volkswagen to meet their mobility needs. To avoid creating financial hardship for these customers, the Volkswagen Driver Access Program offers full or partial reimbursement for the following modifications:
For qualifying modifications, Volkswagen will reimburse up to $1,000 towards the cost of the mobility equipment and installation. For instance, if it costs a customer $800 to install their equipment, Volkswagen will reimburse $800. If the customer is charged $1,500, Volkswagen will reimburse $1,000.
Note that only new and unused Volkswagen vehicles are eligible for the Volkswagen Driver Access Program. Additionally, Volkswagen does not sell, manufacture, install, or warrant any adaptive driving or vehicles access equipment. Customers that wish to install such equipment should contact their preferred adaptive equipment retailer for information with regards to the purchase and installation of mobility equipment.
